Season’s Greetings from the MPO
A quick recap of our busy season to date: In October we performed the Festival of Music, which included a number of talented singers from our community. In November, we had the Georgetown Pipeband partner with us, and celebrated St. Andrew’s Day with spectacular Scottish music. This month saw our 6th annual Winterlude concert, featuring soprano Alexa Frankian. We were also proud to perform with our good friends the Milton Choristers in their biannual Messiah concert. Friends… we are tired! We plan to kick back and enjoy our varied festivities over the next couple of weeks, and get back to it in January, refreshed and ready to go!
Mark your calendars for our remaining shows! On March 15, 2020 we will have a toe-tapping concert that any theater-lover will enjoy, with The Best of Broadway. This show is going to help break the inevitable winter monotony we all face with some much-loved show tunes that will have you dancing in the aisle and singing along. Tickets are on sale now (and make great gifts, if you’re not done! Purchase and print them out now!) get them here.
Our grand finale for season 6 is none other than Verdi’s Requiem on May 2nd! This amazing work by Giuseppe Verdi is one of the most powerful and difficult pieces we have played to date, and a DO NOT MISS concert. Join us for this masterful concert – tickets are available here.
We have so much to be grateful for, and this time of year really brings it home how fortunate we are to be in our 6th season, performing in a state of the art theater, working with their stellar crew, and performing for you, our audience. Your enthusiasm and support is appreciated throughout the year, and without you, we couldn’t continue to bring music to our community. So thank you, one and all, for being a part of our family.
With much appreciation, we wish you and yours a very joyous holiday season.
Merry Christmas!
