Cassandra Warner – Mezzo-Soprano

On Friday, May 29, 2015, The Milton Philharmonic Orchestra presents “A Night at the Opera… and More“. Featured soloists are Mezzo-Soprano Cassandra Warner, and Tenor Riccardo Iannello. Please join us for this final, breathtaking concert of the 2014-2015 season!

Hailed by critics as a “powerful mezzo” and “sensory epiphany”, Canadian opera singer Cassandra Warner has garnered international acclaim. From Milton, Ontario, and an alumni of the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Miss Warner has a diverse array of performing experience in opera, concert, international competition and special events.

Cassandra has performed with reputable opera companies such as Opera Atelier of Toronto, Vancouver Opera, Calgary Opera, and Opera Toulon of France, performing such roles as Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte, 2nd Lady in The Magic Flute, Rose Maurrant in Street Scene, The Saloon Singer in The Inventor, Carmen in La Tragedie de Carmen and the title role in Cendrillon at Koerner Hall.

In concert, Miss Warner has performed with such orchestras as the Royal Conservatory Orchestra of Toronto, Calgary Civic Symphony, the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra. Miss Warner has also performed in concert at the Milton Centre for the Arts and with the Toronto Orpheus Choir. Cassandra has achieved great success at international opera competitions, winning 3rd prize at the Chants de Marmande of France and First Prize at the Western Canadian MET Opera Competition.

Cassandra has been featured by The Toronto Star newspaper, CBC Television, CBC Radio, Classical 96.3 FM Radio, and by Money Sense Magazine. Miss Warner has been a special guest artist for such high profile associations as the Arts and Letters Club of Toronto, the Stratford Soirée series, the Royal Conservatory for their annual galas and has been the featured artist at such special events as Chanel’s recent jewellery launch in Toronto where Cassandra was model and performer.
